The Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia is starting the process of implementation of inclusive education in vocational education with the support of the Ministry of Education and Research of Norway. Today, a Grant Agreement was signed by Deputy Minister Aluda Goglichidze and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Norway to Georgia, Erling Skonsberg.

Open Access Week 2013 -

Open Access Week - a global event, now in its 7th year, promoting open access as a new norm in scholarship and research - will take place all over the world between October 21 and 25. This is is an opportunity for the academic and research community to continue to learn about the potential benefits of open access, to share what they’ve learnt with colleagues, and to help inspire wider participation.

Success of Georgian Pupils


International Success of Georgian Pupils -

Georgian team won the first place in Mathematics, Physics and Informatics in the 9th International Zhautikov Olympiad held in Alma-Ata, Kazakhstan. Seniors from Physics and Math Komarov Public School 199 of Tbilisi, Ilia Vekua Public School 42 of Tbilisi, Physics and Math Andria Razmadze Public School of Kutaisi and Private Demirel College of Tbilisi participated in the Olympiad.

Meeting on funding of vocational education

Meeting on funding of vocational education -

A coordinating meeting was held at Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia regarding the issues of funding vocational education. Representatives of state and private colleges, professional unions, employment associations, the ministry and international organizations attended the meeting.

Event at the library : 105 year from birth and 35 year form death of academician Ilia Vekua


On December 18 a conference hall of National Science Library hosted an event devoted to the memory of Georgian academician Ilia Vekua. His colleagues, friends, students and relatives came together to recall memories of  this great mathematician and person. At the end of the event a documentary film about Ilia Vekua was demonstrated. Producer of a film (1984), Dr. Gia Chubabria presented some interesting details of his work.
